Lynda Nugent, a native of San Francisco, received her BA and MA from Sonoma State University.  She has taught at her alma mater and at Windsor High School since 1996 and served as a reader in the Advanced Placement Studio Art Program at the College of New Jersey. Her work has been exhibited extensively in California and throughout the United States, and she has won several professional and Fine Art awards over the past decade.

Her description of her work is direct.  “A perfect day is one I spend drawing, working in the garden, drawing, working in the garden, and so it goes.  I just draw things I see.  I could be drawing buddleia or broccoli but I have been most interested in drawing birds.”
